Just a note of appreciation to a man I had the good fortune to meet. Michael saw me for what I said I was, or about to be, an innocent victim of the system. He believed in me when the system did not.
At our “closed door” hearing, the federal agents wanted me to set up my friend, who was only a middle man, which I would not agree to do. Michael stood behind me 100% on that point. End result was that Michael convinced the U.S. Attorney to not file any charges against me at all. Everything was dropped.
I’m eternally and forever grateful for Michael’s representation, and his understanding of me and the situation I faced. Never did I think I’d find the humanitarianism in an attorney that I did. Kudos to Michael.
S, Los Angeles, CAThank you so much for all of your extremely hard work and support during what was a very difficult time in my life. Your excellent negotiating skills meant I was able to attend the least amount of classes and perform the least amount of community service in connection with my DUI, making me the envy of all of my class members. Equally valuable and appreciated was your kindness and encouragement throughout the whole process. I could not have done it without you.
J, San Diego, CAMyself and two others were charged with drug possession with intent to sell, and each person arrested was facing over 10 years in Federal prison. We contacted over 30 lawyers in the Las Vegas area and all gave us no hope and told us to just accept the plea. We reached out to criminal lawyer, Michael Grahn, who reviewed the charges and wrote the argument to the Federal court judge claiming several errors made by the Las Vegas police in the request for a search warrant. It is rare that a federal judge wants to review possible malfeasance by police, so Michael knew that if his argument was to be heard, he had his work cut out for him.
Michael demonstrated superb litigation skills in preparing a legal case by providing appropriate case law and expert testimony, speaking professionally in cross examination to elicit the truth from the federal prosecutors’ witnesses, and giving a 50-minute oral summation convincingly arguing all points raised by the defense.
As a result, our case was dismissed by the federal prosecutor.
More importantly, Michael is an empathetic counselor who truly cares for his clients. He takes a personal interest in them to check on their emotional well-being and provide them with answers and explanations. Leading up to the hearing and during the hearing, he called to keep me timely informed of what he was doing on my case and why. He worked diligently under strict timelines imposed by the court and still managed to maintain his composure, professional demeanor, and in the end earned the court’s respect. I am forever grateful to Michael Grahn.

R, Los Angeles, CAI’m an attorney and hired Michael to collect some money owed to our family. This was a case that two attorneys had each mucked up some, and Michael picked up the file and went with it. There were facts and law that complicated the situation, and Michael figured out how to finesse both.
Michael took the case to trial, and did a fine job. He was on time, prepared, on top of the facts and the law, and knew how to get that across to the judge in the case.
He responds quickly and easily to inquiries. His bills are reasonable. What more could one ask for?
